"I love the fall, but I don't know whether it's messier inside my shop with wood shavings, or outside with all the oak leaves. Both seem to be constant jobs and neither one stays clear for long. I really need to take the time and clean the shop thoroughly -- the shavings are getting so deep they're coming in over the tops of my shoes, and I'm losing gouges on the my lathe table because there are several inches of shavings on it. I used to take the time to clean up really well after a project was done, but these segmented bowls never seem to end. Before I'm done with one, I'm cutting the pieces for the next one. I carry out a couple of boxes of shavings a day, but to no avail. I want whatever Norm Abrams has that keeps his shop clean. Elves??

One good thing about this time of year is that it cools off so most of our shops feel more comfortable. I hope you're finding more time to work in your shops now that they're cooler. Bring in some of the things you're making and show them off at the meeting."
