Is BAWA sick?

Well we don't think so but it could and soon.

Why?

Because we are slowly losing members. You can't have a strong club with a dwindling membership.

What can be done to get more members?

We could take out ads in newspapers or have billboards but these options will not focus the people we want to attract. It is also beyond our financial means.

So, what do we do?

The best way is to have a presence at the Woodworking Shows. There, people with similar interests will see us, ask questions and possible join.

At the last meeting, the consensus was not to participate. A group of us think this will greatly hurt the club. We have signed up to be at the show.

NOW, WE NEED YOUR HELP TO STAFF THE BOOTH.

Remember, if the club dies then you will have a free third Thursday of every month and miss the interaction and the great presentations that we have had.

The date of the show at the San Mateo Expo Center is from Friday, November 2 through Sunday, November 4.

The shifts are as follows. We can be flexible if you tell us your needs.

Friday, 11/2 2-4:30 PM; 4:30-7 PM

Saturday, 11/3 10-12 Noon; 2-4 PM; 4-6 PM

Sunday, 11/4 10-12 Noon; 12 Noon-2 PM; 2-4 PM

Arnie Champagne will coordinate. He can be reached at 415/282-1704 or myself at 415/647-9244.

Let's discuss this at the meeting or if you can't make the meeting give one of us a call.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!
