Interested In Forming A Co-operative Shop? (10/2004)
BAWA member is looking for hobby/enthusiasts to share in a co-operative manner a commercial space for wood working. Space includes 24 x 41 foot machine room, wood storage room, small library space and a cold water 1/2 bath. Garage door, with space to pull in one Suburban.
Existing machinery includes Delta cabinet saw, band saw, ShopSmith with jointer accessory, slidng mitre saw, Craftsman radial arm saw (needs work) and various hand tools, including two workbenchs, plus a sharpening station. Plenty of 120/240 power, with 3 phase 240 a possibility. Shop made dust collection system, with bigger plans.
Ideal participants will enjoy helping to finish building out shop space with useful storage and machine/work stations. Being able to share time, work and effort are key to a successful relationship.
Location is in a safe industrial area of San Mateo on South Claremont, between 9th and 10th streets. Cost of space will depend on mutually agreed upon use of the space and existing tools. Parking during work day is very limited, but after 5 or 6 PM, street parking is available.

Four 8' Fluorescent tubes, GE cool white 60W. Also have the 2 ballasts that came out of economy type fixtures, good for replacing your faulty ones. All this has about 1 1/2 years of light intermittent use, so lot's of life left. I am upgrading to Colortone tubes and cold start ballasts. Any reasonable offer welcome, all this is worth around $60 new. The proceeds will be donated to BAWA. Pick up is in Menlo Park. Call Claude at 650-766-3827.

Dec: 7-8-04 and Dec: 11-12-04 Tools and Techniques: Finish Dovetail box. Begin coffee-end tables.
