Main Presentation

March BAWA meeting will be a sharp one, related to professional sharpening that is! Doug the owner of Bay Area Carbide has a full-service business where we get to go in the back and see his full line of German machines that includes computer numerically controlled saw and tool sharpening equipment. He will demonstrate how a modern sharpening shop functions and how precise he can perform this critical and somewhat overlooked aspect of woodworking. This is where the metal meets the wood! Bay Area Carbide is a find of our member Bill Manix who was so impressed with Doug's operation that he passed on the idea and contact. Jay is also working on having a member make a presentation for the Tech Talk portion.

These two presentations will make for an information-filled evening for our March meeting.

By the way, don't forget to bring something for Show and Tell!
