Our presenter, Greg Burge was born in Los Angeles, California and has lived in many parts of the U.S. and Latin America. He holds both a B.A. and an M.A. in Sociology and has worked in many careers relating to the interactions of people. He began woodworking as a hobby and opened his first furniture making shop in 1974. Greg has worked under such recognized artists as Del Stubbs in woodturning and Sam Maloof in furniture making. Greg has taught his own apprentices as well as classes of both children and adults from beginning to advanced and specialty level furniture making. He has a love for antique restoration, designing and creating high-end, one-of-a-kind custom furniture. He works in all periods of furniture and designs in conjunction with clients. Greg lives in San Carlos. His work has been exhibited in Chico, Los Angeles and many peninsula locations. He will give us an overview of finishing.
