Happy New Year to all woodworkers! Yesterday January 29 we celebrated the Chinese New Year. We also begin another exciting year for the BAWA organization. Our new program director, Per Madsen, has been busy lining up outstanding speakers for this year. Jay Perrine has stepped down after 6 years as Program Director. Jay has done an outstanding job and will go down in BAWA history as holding the program committee chair longer than any other person. He continues to help out with our new program committee with his boundless energy. Next year marks our 25th anniversary as an organization. We are planning a celebration to mark this historic event. We have formed a new history committee led by our former president Craig Minweaser. The committee is researching the history of BAWA which will appear on our website when completed. We are looking for volunteers to plan a grand celebration and to help with the historical research. We will be having more tech talks this year as many of you have requested. A new session on tools will be added to our meeting that will give everyone an opportunity to report or possibly demonstrate their newest tool. Anyone interested in participating in the tool discussion please contact Per Madsen.
