Sept 18st (3rd Thursday)
This month's presentation
PLEASE NOTE THE MEETING TIME OF 7 PM
The September meeting will be the Second Annual Fall Kick-Off meeting where we will have a meal to kick off our fall activities, particularly the Woodworking Show with spouses and significant others invited to dine with us. Following the meal will be some update on the details of the Woodworking Show that will be held this year at the San Mateo Fairgrounds October 31 through November 2nd. BAWA will host a booth and details of all that will be announced after the dinner. This is an opportunity to get into the Woodworking Show free (as a booth participant) by spending a few hours with fellow BAWA members in the booth before walking the aisles to view or buy the goodies for sale. This is also the time to recruit a few new members to our fine organization.
Following that discussion we will have an extensive Show & Tell that does not need to have a something you made or tool to talk. Last year we had some interesting testimonials about attending veneering school or other adventures that make this hobby so rewarding - and vicariously experiencing woodworking at the meetings is part of that joy. This can also be a time to bring something you made long ago that still has some significance to either your skills or experience. Also you can bring a toy you made and donate it to our toy making program. This should prove to be an interesting evening.
From 101, take the East Hillsdale exit. Drive a mile plus toward the bay. Turn right in Shell Blvd.
