Our May meeting will be quite interesting. Several months ago about 10 woodworkers attended a 2-day seminar taught by Yeung Chan on how to make joints with power tools. The key was to build a very accurate sled and some other jigs to accomplish this. Yeung built the sled and the other components describing the procedure as he went along. He then proceeded to make a large number of various types of joints from what appeared to be quite simple to very complicated.
Several of the inspired students made their own and we will be privileged to hear and see their efforts as they describe the pitfalls and their successes. Yeung may be there to assist in the presentation.
If enough people are interested, we may be able to schedule another class with Yeung later in the year.
Also, hopefully we will have members' Show and Tell or jigs and fixtures. Perhaps, a Tool and Tech and Library talks.
