It seems no matter what I do, my shop never looks neat. I try to clean as I go, but I think I go faster than I clean. I've been working on my segmented bowls and they really seem to spread all over the shop. How can a 5 ½" x 5" bowl take so much room? There are so many little piles of parts and clamps and wood chips. I usually think I'm pretty organized, but I'm not so sure any more. This time I thought I would save time and make two at once-twice as many piles. I do put tools away as I use them, but the wood stays out. What starts as one piece of wood gets cut into 18 or 24 or more. My last bowl had 665 pieces in it and they were everywhere before they were glued together. I think we need some programs on shop organization, or storage ideas. One thing I have learned though, is how great it is to be working at something challenging and exciting. I can't wait to get to the shop in the morning and don't want to leave at night. I hope some of you can find a project that gives you this feeling.

Welcome on board!
We have a volunteer to take over the long vacant Librarian spot.
Let's welcome Mike Cooper. We are grateful to him for volunteering. I know that we have all missed perusing the library and borrowing from it. Hopefully, if we can save money from the Newsletter mailings, we can buy new materials for the library.
Mike can be reached at mike.l.cooper@1mco.com
