BAWA Apparel. Hey! Be the first one in your block to be decked out in the latest BAWA finery. Wear the finery to the meetings, to the wood shows or just show your envious woodworker friends. Brad Heinzen will present a Tech Talk on how he bends the sides of his guitars. Robert Meier will be our main presenter, with a discussion about the furniture which he and his brother build.

Robert Meier and his identical twin brother, Christian, emigrated from Munich, Germany to California. They both obtained Masters degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Munich. They also studied the classic techniques of Fine Wood Working and Wood Finishing at the University of Art, Munich. In the 80's they opened up their studio, Meier Bros. Furniture Design, in Aptos, California. They design small lines and constantly experiment with new ideas. They also do custom work with a number of woods.

Their work has been displayed and shown in numerous galleries from Mendocino to New York, and their work has been published in the SF Chronicle, Santa Cruz Sentinel, San Jose Mercury News, Woodworker Magazine and many more. Their work is currently on display in the following galleries and showrooms:

Take 101 South towards San Jose. Take the Lawrence Expressway exit. Turn RIGHT onto Lawrence Expressway. Take the next LEFT onto Oakmead Parkway. Follow Oakmead 0.7 miles. The Sawdust Shop is on the LEFT.

Directions from 280-Cupertino:
From 280 take the Lawrence Expressway East exit. Go about 3 miles on Lawrence Expy. Turn right on E. Arques Ave. Turn at the 2nd LEFT onto Oakmead. Follow Oakmead for 0.1 miles. The Saw Dust Shop is on the RIGHT.
