The June 20th BAWA meeting will feature our OWN Yeung Chan speaking about Furniture Joinery. The meeting will be held at the new LOWES HOME IMPROVEMENT CENTER in San Bruno. (There will probably be discount coupons good just for the evening in the store!) Yeung Chan's book on woodworking joints is at the publisher being set up for publication and should be on the shelves in your favorite bookstore this Fall! Yeung is a graduate of the College of the Redwoods two year program and is fast becoming a favorite lecturer/teacher in the woodworking show circuit. Next college year he will be a visiting PROFESSOR at a college in Minnesota. Yeung has always proven to be an interesting speaker at our meetings when we have been fortunate to have him speak. He is able to draw very precisely and describe in vivid detail his topics so that we can easily absorb ideas from him. Will he cover the joints he employed in his Chinese chair? Not sure, better come on June 20th and find out! This will not be a demonstration but rather a talk and he will produce drawings on a flip chart right in our presence - so if you plan to take notes bring paper with space for drawings.

Directions:

From I-280:
Take the Sneath Lane exit. Travel to El Camino Real and turn left. Get in the right lane and at the signal several hundred feet away (look for the Lowes & Red Lobster signs) turn right into the driveway.

From US101:
Take the I-380 Half Moon Bay exit. Turn off at the El Camino Real-North exit. Travel past the Tanforan Shopping Center and Sneath Lane. At the first signal past Sneath Lane (look for the Lowes & Red Lobster signs) turn right into the driveway.

For all directions:
Enter the store and walk to the first major cross aisle by the washing machines (red Restroom banner is hanging from the ceiling), turn left. Walk towards the Garden Center and look for a tunnel entrance at the red Restroom banner and turn right. The Training Room is the second door on the right.
